Wow, what an amazing way to spend NYE!

The day started with the tough Job of saying good by to one of the sports greatest legends with a ceremony to release his ashes back to where he always wanted to be.

Upon return to the ramp the sheer exhaustion was countered by a wonderful swim and play in the beautiful clean warm water of Paradise Point.

We headed back to work to get organised for the nights adventure we had planned and to set up the lights etc.

Around 6 we relaunched and made our way to dinner on South Stradbroke Island. The ride there was amazing. It was hot, flat and just surreal at how beautiful the place looks at Sunset.

Dinner was great fun but we were all anticipating the fireworks to come. As we made our way back to the Skis I noticed just how dark it had become, not like the usual well lit nights with Full moons.

This was short lived as the many Boaties enjoying some NYE cheer were happy to provide Fireworks for all with Flares 😉

We made our way up to Paradise Points eastern shore and crept in to the front row position in front of all the Boats 🙂

The Fireworks were unreal. We were right under them and it was the best show you’d ever see on a Ski.

Afterwards we made our way back to the Jet Ski Club House for more NYE cheer and watched movies on the very big screen until the early morning hours.
